What to do if the bearing adapter sleeve is broken by the hammer

Time: 2021-07-02

Hammer crusher has strong production capacity. It has the characteristics of simple structure, large crushing ratio and high production efficiency. It can be divided into dry and wet crushing. The working principle of hammer crusher is simply to crush materials by impact.
The specification model of the hammer crusher of a grate cooler of a company is 1000×2700, the rotor speed is 350r/min, the hammer edge linear speed is 22.54m/s, the number of hammer heads is 18, the hammer head unit weight is 63.5 kg, and the motor power 45kW, vibration occurred on December 30. After inspection, it turned out that the adapter sleeve of the bearing 113638 on the side of the large pulley turned on the shaft, and the gap between the two reached nearly 3mm, and the lock nut had no effect.
In this regard, if the repair is carried out according to the conventional method, it will take 20 hours or even longer at the fastest. In order to quickly resume production, we decided to stuff iron sheets between the adapter sleeve and the journal.

Its handling experience is:
(1) The fewer layers of iron sheet, the better;
(2) When plugging the iron sheet, ensure that the plugs are diagonally (that is, 180° with each other) to prevent misalignment;
(3) Plug both sides of the adapter sleeve at the same time;
(4) The circumferential direction of the adapter sleeve must be full;
(5) After plugging, the iron sheet and the adapter sleeve, the iron sheet, and the iron sheet and the shaft must be welded to death. Intermittent welding should be adopted. The iron sheet and the shaft should not be welded too much to prevent the shaft from being damaged;
(6) During electric welding, do not allow welding slag to enter the bearing seat and the bearing bead frame.
The above processing only took nearly 1 hour, and production was resumed.
After the above treatment, the hammer broke smoothly, running steadily until the middle of June for maintenance (the operation was still stable when it was overhauled). After disassembly, it was found that the iron sheet and weld bead of the plug were intact. In the subsequent maintenance, we sprayed the journal and replaced the bearings and adapter sleeves.
